1 Overview & Commitment

This Privacy Policy applies to the Phone Temperature: Monitor mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "App", Package Name: com.jeweality.phonetemperature), developed and operated by JEWEALITY (Lead Developer: Roshan Varma).

We are committed to full transparency regarding data collection, processing, and advertising. This application is designed as a standalone hardware thermal monitoring utility that delivers real-time battery and hardware sensor metrics, configurable heat warnings, and cooling assistance while minimizing external data footprint.

2 Information We Process

Depending on how you use our App, the following categories of information are processed:

• Device Hardware & Thermal Zones Telemetry (Processed Strictly On-Device):
  To monitor device health, the App reads internal Android hardware sensors, including battery temperature, battery health/level, charging status, processor (CPU), graphics (GPU), and storage thermal zones. This telemetry is processed entirely in device volatile RAM or stored inside a private local SQLite database on your device. It is never transmitted to external servers operated by JEWEALITY.
• User Preferences & Settings:
  Your chosen settings (Temperature Unit: Celsius or Fahrenheit, Alert Threshold, Theme preference, Notification toggles) are stored locally in private Android Jetpack DataStore / SharedPreferences.
• Advertising & Diagnostic Identifiers (Processed by Google AdMob):
  The App integrates the official Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display advertisements. AdMob may automatically collect standardized advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID / AAID), coarse IP address (for localized ad delivery), and app interaction diagnostics to serve ads, combat fraud, and prevent spam.

3 Android Permissions & Justifications

In strict adherence to Google Play Developer Policies, our App only requests permissions that are genuinely required to fulfill declared user-facing features:

4 Google AdMob & Third-Party Advertising

To support free development and continuous updates, the App displays non-intrusive advertisements served by Google AdMob. We strictly comply with official Google Publisher Policies (2026 Standards):

• Anchored Adaptive Banners: Displayed above the bottom navigation bar with a dedicated safety margin (at least 8dp) to prevent accidental clicks and avoid layout shifting (CLS).
• Interstitial Ads at Natural Transition Breaks: Full-screen advertisements are only shown during logical transitions (e.g. initiating device cooling or checking temperature) and are capped with a frequency cooldown timer to prevent spamming.
• No Launch / Exit Ads: Ads are never shown unexpectedly upon opening the App or while exiting the App.
• Personalized Ads Opt-Out: Users have complete control over personalized advertising. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID anytime by opening your device Settings > Google > Ads > Reset/Delete Advertising ID.

5 Data Retention & Deletion

All logged thermal telemetry is stored exclusively in your local device SQLite database (phone_temperature.db).

• In-App Clear History: You can wipe all logged temperature records at any moment by navigating to Settings > History Management > Clear All History.
• Complete Uninstallation: Uninstalling the App immediately and irreversibly destroys all local database records and preferences from your device storage.

6 Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Phone Temperature: Monitor does not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information to third-party ad networks through our App, please contact us immediately so we can assist with necessary inquiries.

7 Global Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you possess specific privacy rights:

• Right of Access & Portability: You can view all your stored telemetry directly in the interactive History and Chart tabs inside the App.
• Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can erase all telemetry at any time using the in-app "Clear All History" feature.
• Right to Opt Out of Tracking: You can disable personalized ad tracking at the operating system level through Android Settings.
• No Sale of Data: JEWEALITY does not sell your personal data as defined under California law (CCPA/CPRA).

8 Data Security

We prioritize the security of your device. Because thermal readings never leave your device, there is zero risk of remote cloud database breaches concerning your hardware telemetry. Network requests initiated by third-party ad SDKs are encrypted over industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).

9 Changes to this Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect app improvements, new features, or updated Google Play developer regulations. Any revisions will be published directly on this page with a revised "Last Updated" timestamp. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
